SUBMISSION PERIOD FOR INVESTMENT PROJECTS TO BE PRESENTED AT EASTERN ECONOMIC FORUM CLOSES

A press release from the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East reports that the Ministry has received 111 project proposals, worth RUB 2.2 trillion in private investment, for review.
The Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East is in the process of selecting projects to be presented at the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF). Priority will be given to projects which are close to being implemented. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to present their projects to a target audience of potential investors, to be convened on the basis of specific criteria.
“Primorsky Territory submitted more applications than any other region. We received 37 different projects from that area. Sakha Republic (Yakutia) took second place, with 22 applications from entrepreneurs there, and Khabarovsk Territory was in third place with 21 applications. In terms of sectors, transport and logistics accounted for the highest number of proposals (16 investment projects), followed by agriculture (14 projects) and tourism (13 projects). Finally, in terms of investment volume, projects in the metal industry dominate (10 applications totalling RUB 654.41 billion), followed by the fuel industry (four applications, RUB 493.8 billion) and transport and logistics (16 applications, RUB 223.224 billion)”, reported Alexander Galushka, Minister for the Development of the Russian Far East.
