PRESIDENT OF RUSSIA: EASTERN ECONOMIC FORUM WILL TAKE PLACE IN VLADIVOSTOK FROM SEPTEMBER 3 TO SEPTEMBER 5

The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has signed a decree “On Eastern Economic Forum.” According to the Decree, Eastern Economic Forum shall take place annually in Vladivostok. In 2015 it will be held from September 3 to September 5.
The Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding Eastern Economic Forum is headed by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation — Presidential Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev.
Eastern Economic Forum will become the biggest international communication forum focused on priority development of the Far East of Russia within integration with the economy of the Asia Pacific Region.
The Ministry for Development of the Russian Far East is already making preparations for the Forum. The event will be held in the Far Eastern Federal University on Russky Island. The Forum program will include both extensive discussions on economy development in the Far East of Russia within the context of global trends and narrow business discussions aimed at meeting investors’ requests with the maximum efficiency. Some events will be closed for participants to discuss certain investment cooperation issues.
