    China is ready to take an active part in development of Russian Far East, the Chinese establishment informed.

    The Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) is an important platform for strengthening Russian-Chinese cooperation in Russian Far East”. TASS informs with reference to a statement made by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. “The EEF is a new and important platform for developing Russian-Chinese cooperation in the Far East. The Chinese side is ready to take an active part in developing Russian Far East on the basis of mutual benefit, as well as to encourage development of near-border partnership”, the Chinese establishment informed the Russian news agency.

    Some employees of the Chinese MFA also let it be known that the Chinese side is vigorously deliberating on the issue of sending a high-ranking representative to the Forum and is ready to provide robust assistance to get Chinese business involved in the Forum.

    “We believe that the Second Eastern Economic Forum is destined to be a success and that Russian and Chinese companies will achieve new results”, noted the Chinese ministerial workers.

    The Eastern Economic Forum will be held on September 2–3 in Vladivostok. The business programme includes discussions on various topics related to the region’s development, tools for supporting entrepreneurs, opportunities for investors, infrastructure and energy projects.
