Forum organisers meet the press at Japan’s embassy in Moscow.
Representatives of almost 20 Japanese TV channels, news agencies and newspapers attended the presentation of the second Eastern Economic Forum. Senior Deputy Minister for the Development of the Russan Far East Alexander Osipov told the audience about the new economic policy for his region’s development, establishment of a competitive investment environment and success stories based on real-life examples of cooperation between Russian and Japanese companies.
EEF Director Igor Pavlov spoke about the Forum’s business programme and touched upon key organisational matters, such as services for participants and guests, ways to book accommodation and air tickets, and EEF participation formats and special features. Media representatives were offered an opportunity to ask any questions they had about the Forum.
A representative delegation from Japan headed by PM Shinzo Abe is expected at the Forum in Vladivostok. A Russian–Japanese Business Forum is scheduled to take place as part of the EEF.
