GENERAL DIRECTOR OF THE AGENCY FOR TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT: “OUR TASK IS TO INCREASE COMPETITIVENESS ON THE RUSSIAN MARKET”

A briefing by General Director of the Agency for Technological Development Maxim Shereykin took place as part of the Eastern Economic Forum.
The Agency for Technological Development was established by decision of Vladimir Putin on 26 May 2016, to facilitate implementation of world-level innovative technological decisions at Russian enterprises.
“The mission of the Agency is to encourage the operations of Russian technological leaders competitive on the world level and raise the average level of our enterprises to the average world level,” Mr Shereykin explained.
Mr Shereykin gave the example of the Kaluga Region, where 100 contemporary technological companies employing 14,000 people show 6 times higher productivity than 2,700 other industrial businesses employing 96,000.
The Agency was founded to change the current situation and help Russian companies revamp their production facilities.
In the words of the General Director, the Agency for Technological Development is ready to conduct the expert review of solutions ready for implementation and to organise a negotiating process with partners.
As part of the Eastern Economic Forum, the Agency will take part in the business dialogues Russia – Republic of Korea, Russia – China and Russian-Japanese forum for developing a network of international contacts. In addition, meetings with potential Russian clients are planned.
The Agency is ready to present business investment projects aimed at raising the efficiency of enterprises, in order to heighten their competitiveness on the Russian market.
