FAR EAST DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION RECEIVES 100 PROPOSALS FROM POTENTIAL VLADIVOSTOK FREE PORT RESIDENTS

Total investment in the projects amounts to RUB 167 billion, reports a press release from the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East.
Eighty of the applications have been approved. In addition, 52 companies have already signed agreements with the Far East Development Corporation and have official Vladivostok Free Port resident status. This will help to create 17,000 jobs in Primorsky Territory.
The most popular sector, chosen by 39% of residents, is manufacturing; a further 18% are focusing on logistics, and the third most popular area is real estate, accounting for 11% of projects. The majority of companies (42) are registered in Vladivostok Municipal District, 14 are registered in Artyomovsky Municipal District, and 12 in Nakhodka.
“We are seeing a positive trend, as well as a high level of demand and great interest from the business community in the free port. The main objective in the immediate future is to ensure that we do not lose momentum, and to improve the quality of the services and support provided by the corporation”, emphasised Denis Tikhonov, CEO of the Far East Development Corporation.
