CHINESE INVESTORS EXPRESS INTEREST IN AMUR REGION’S BELOGORSK ASEZ

A meeting took place at the Belogorsk administration between city officials and representatives of Chinese business, according to a report in the Amurskaya Pravda newspaper.
Belogorsk is holding talks with potential new resident enterprises for its advanced special economic zone. The meeting was attended by the heads of KR-Industriya, a company which represents Chinese business in Amur Region. The firm was set up in 2015 to develop trade and economic links between Russia and China. The meeting was also attended by business representatives from China’s southern provinces.
“The company management expressed its interest in establishing a business in the Belogorsk ASEZ and investing in a whole range of enterprises. These include copper and aluminium scrap recycling, polypropylene pipe production, and production of packaging materials,” said the Belogorsk ASEZ development and investment head, Larisa Lazareva.
At the meeting those present discussed the specifics of obtaining ASEZ resident status, and the advantages and benefits available to companies involved. Investors are planning to develop their design documentation in the near future.
