Alexander Krutikov named Deputy Minister for Development of Russian Far East
11 October 2016
Mr. Krutikov will be responsible for attracting investment, international cooperation, preparing the Eastern Economic Forum, and supervising the work of the Far East Agency for Investment Promotion and Export Support and the Far East Development Fund.
The decree was signed by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. Before his appointment, Alexander Krutikov led the department responsible for implementing investment projects at the Ministry.
Minister Alexander Galushka has said that attracting investment is crucial to developing the Far Eastern Federal District.
“Behind every project, there are new companies and factories, new regional taxes, and new jobs for people living in the Russian Far East. So far, we have attracted more than RUB 1.225 trillion through advanced special economic zones, Vladivostok Free Port, support for investment projects, and the Far East Development Fund”, he reported.
In September 2014, Alexander Krutikov was selected for the Far East executive team by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives.
“Since then, he has demonstrated outstanding professional growth and contributed to the development of new laws and mechanisms for promoting investment in the macroregion. I am certain that this new post will provide an excellent opportunity for him to apply his capabilities to the development of the Russian Far East”, Mr. Galushka said.
