    Applications from 38 new companies to implement investment projects at Vladivostok Free Port were approved on Tuesday, the Primorsky Territory Administration said in a statement.

    The applications were reviewed on Tuesday at the seventh meeting of the Supervisory Council chaired by Presidential Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev.

    “The proposed projects include construction of five residential complexes and two hotels in Primorsky Territory, aquaculture farming and processing plants, a family recreation park, a children’s Alpine ski school and other tourism infrastructure facilities, a tea packing factory, a metal hardware plant, a construction materials plant, and development of a placer gold deposit. Locations include Vladivostok, Ussuriysk, Nakhodka, Artyom, and the Khasansky and Olginsky districts of Primorsky Territory”, the statement said.

    In his opening remarks at the Vladivostok Free Port Supervisory Council meeting, Mr Trutnev said that 123 companies were now Free Port residents. The 38 projects reviewed on Tuesday are expected to bring in more than RUB 16 billion in investment and to create 1,400 jobs.
